From June 2 to 3, Chang'e -6 successfully completed the intelligent rapid sampling in the South Pole-Aitken Basin on the back of the moon, and packaged and stored the precious samples on the back of the moon in the storage device carried by the riser in a predetermined form. During the sampling and packaging process, researchers in the ground laboratory, based on the detector data sent back by the Magpie Bridge II relay star, simulate the geographical model of the sampling area and simulate sampling, providing important support for sampling decision-making and operation of each link.

Intelligent sampling is one of the core key links of Chang 'e -6 mission. The detector withstood the test of high temperature on the back of the moon. Through drilling with drilling tools and mechanical arm table taking, lunar samples were collected respectively, realizing multi-point and diversified automatic sampling.

The landing camera, panoramic camera, lunar soil structure detector, lunar mineral spectrum analyzer and other payloads of the Chang'e -6 lander were started up normally, and scientific exploration was carried out as planned, playing an important role in scientific exploration missions such as lunar surface morphology and mineral composition exploration and research, and lunar shallow structure exploration. Before the sampling by the detector, the lunar soil structure detector analyzed and judged the underground lunar soil structure in the sampling area, which provided data reference for sampling.

International payloads such as the ESA lunar surface negative ion analyzer and the French lunar radon detector carried by the Chang'e -6 lander are working normally, and corresponding scientific exploration missions have been carried out. Among them, the French lunar radon detector was turned on in the earth-moon transfer, the ring-moon phase and the lunar surface working section, and the ESA lunar surface negative ion analyzer was turned on in the lunar surface working section. The Italian laser corner reflector mounted on top of the lander became a position control point on the back of the moon that could be used for distance measurement.

After the table was taken, the five-star red flag carried by the Chang'e 6 lander was successfully unfolded on the back of the moon. This is the first time that China has independently and dynamically displayed its national flag on the back of the moon. The flag is made of new composite materials and special processes. Due to the different positions of the moon, the Chang'e -6 flag display system has been improved on the basis of the Chang'e -5 mission.

Compared with ground takeoff, the Chang'e -6 ascendant does not have a fixed launch tower system, but uses the lander as a "temporary tower". Compared with the take-off of the lunar surface of Chang'e 5, Chang'e 6 takes off from the back of the moon and cannot directly receive ground measurement and control support. Instead, it needs to be assisted by the Queqiao 2 relay star and use its own special sensors to achieve autonomous positioning and positioning. Attitude is more difficult to implement. After the Chang'e -6 ascader ignited and took off, it went through three stages of vertical ascent, attitude adjustment and orbit injection, and successfully entered the scheduled orbit around the moon.

Subsequently, the ascender will rendezvous and dock with the orbiter and returnee combination waiting in the orbit around the moon, and transfer the lunar samples to the returnee. The orbiter and returnee combination will fly around the moon, waiting for the right time to return to carry out the lunar transfer. The returnee will carry the lunar samples into the atmosphere near the earth and plan to land at the landing site of Siziwangqi, Inner Mongolia.

On May 3, the Chang'e -6 probe was launched and started its journey to the moon. After braking in recent months, the combination of lander and ascender and the combination of orbiter and returnee were separated, it successfully landed on June 2.
